Here is an eight string guitar I built for a customer a few years ago. The top is European spruce. The back is formed of 3-pieces Brazilian rosewood.Built in 2013 for a customer, who already had one of my 6 string guitars, this guitar is in excellent condition. He quit playing guitar so now I have this to sell. It’s been a pleasure to have it here, but it has to go. Look at the pictures. The quality of materials is great. I’m proud of the workmanship.
Have you ever wanted an extended scordatura for a piece of music? Perhaps to play S.L. Weiss or perhaps Gismonti, or your own composition.
This is a rare opportunity to have this extended musical tool and explore.
Nut 69.5 mm, string spacing at nut 60 mm
String spacing at saddle 76 mm
Weight 1767 grams
The body shape and depth are similar to Hauser, as is the bracing. The sound is round and warm. For 5 years old, there is barely a mark on her.
Gilbert tuning machines (custom, 4 per side). Hiscox flight case.
The original retail price of an 8 string guitar is more than $4500. This one will be much, much less. I’m flexible on the price/financing/shipping equation.
