Ganz/Hauser Brazilian Rosewood and Spruce (retop 2017) – For Sale

“New Moon.”
Here is a simple recording (no reverb or editing) I did to add to this page.
Mi-longue, composed by Roland Dyens.

A Hauser style instrument that I re-topped.  It now plays beautifully and easily with a singing voice and sustain that is intoxicating but controllable.   It sounds great and has lots of ‘reserve headroom’.  Excellent intonation.

  • Double Sides. Figured Rosewood.  Curly figure on Spanish cedar neck.
  • 650 mm scale length.  52.5 mm wide at nut.  43 mm string spacing at nut, and  58 mm at saddle.  The neck is a a nice C shape.
  • French polished shellac, well cured.
  • Sloane low-friction tuning machines.

$4000 includes a sleek fiberglass case.
