Almost done….

A new ‘Ganzanillos’ style guitar. Built by Ganz, an homage to the Romanillos design (I studied with Jose in 2004).
650 mm scalelength
Italian Spruce top
East Indian Rosewood
Maple binding
Amboyna burl rosette

As it happens, I have no pictures of this guitar’s construction between the inlay of the rosette and this set of pictures, where the guitar is in preparation for finishing. Now, in these pics, the backs and sides (East Indian Rosewood) are packed with pore filling material. One or two more sandings and it will be ready for shellac and french polishing…. Depending upon what else happens in life. I just got word that my Mom is in the hospital, so it looks like I have an unexpected trip to California coming up.
